Costume Drama

So I was picking up my costume online tonight ($26 bucks, Ebay hollerr) & I noticed there were a lot of really great and really fun costumes out there this year! I selected a few of my favorites from PartyCity.com for your enjoyment! ALSO check out your local paper bc for this week only Party City has issued $5 & $10 off coupons for their costumes!

An Inspired Bride

So I was browsing through my youtube subscriptions today & found the first halloween makeup tutorial of the season! The vid features a Bride of Frankenstein look by Jazziebabycakes. Jazzie has several halloween looks inspired by Zombies, Elvira, and even a Dia De Los Muertos Candy Skull!

In the future I'll be posting more Halloween makeup and prosthetic tutorials bc as we all know -on Halloween, costumes are king! Hopefully these looks will help inspire your own Halloween look or even help you decide on a theme for your next Monster Mash!

A little off topic but...

This post is a little off topic but I wanted to share my excitement over seeing my first pumpkin ale of the season! Of course there were several in the store but I just couldn't pass up this packaging!

This beer actually did turn out to be great! The New Holland Brewery took their pumpkin ale in an entirely new direction -ditching the heavy spice for clean "hoppiness". All in all a very good, and very surprising beer!

In other news: the fog machine is due this week & I'll make sure to post a video review as soon as I get my mitts on it!

I finally did it!

After months of searching (and holding out for a steal) I've finally purchased a fog machine. It's perfect for a small room, has received great reviews and was ONLY $20! I got it from Walmart.com & the free site-to-store shipping really worked out in my favor! I can hardly wait the two weeks to pick it up!

For those of you interested in finding an inexpensive fogger I'll provide the link (bc it doesn't seem to show up on the same pages as the more expensive versions ;) ). Just more proof that if you wanna find the deals you have to search a little harder!
